And his words help shed light on how he did it --- through confidence and self-reliance.  When you are first starting out in a field, it's easy to compare yourself to others and feel yourself coming up short. Learning from those with experience is invaluable, but it can also confuse and limit you at times. Often what works well for one person doesn't work for the next. Everyone is unique. Breaking free of the old ways of doing things might be what you need to find your voice.

As you go about your day, remember that it's okay to work things out on your own. You may not think like others and that's exactly why the world needs your perspective. Look to your peers for inspiration, but don't get anxious if their MOs (Modus Operandi) don't suit yours. The most important thing is to trust yourself and the path you're on. You might stumble, but success is even sweeter when you know you achieved it on your own.
