“I will most gladly spend and be spent for you. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?” ---2 Corinthians12:15
The Holy spirit once pours out God’s love into our hearts, we will care about people quickly like Jesus. Jesus was filled with compassion for every one. On the serving, we can’t depend on our own hobby and interesting, which is the biggest test during the relationship between the Lord and us. The joy of sacrifice is that we would like to lay down our life for our friend, Jesus. “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.” （John15:13） This is not to take away optionally, but after serious consideration, he would sacrifice his life for his loved people. This is not for the personal reason. Paul only had a purpose to expend himself that reach people for the Lord. He often attracted people coming in the front of God, but not to take people in the front of himself. “To the weak I became weak, so that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some.”
If a person keeps with the whole heart with God to create the personal holy life, he will be worthless for other people. He only places himself on the step and become disconnected from man. Paul had the holy life. No matter where he arrived, Jesus put him in an important position to achieve God’s will. Most of us only follow our own dreams, so that God can’t let us do the important thing. If we really commitment to Christ, we shouldn’t have our own goals. Paul said that he would like to become the door-mat of other men without any complaint, because his life wholly belonged to Jesus. We move our target easily instead of Jesus’s will, but focus on those things let our heart free. Paul’s motivation was not so. “For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my own people, my kindred according to the flesh.” So arrogant? Greatly exaggerated? We should know that people say something like this in the love, it is not arrogant, but love Jesus as Paul.
