Ques: Dear Gurudev, in the Silence Program, after meditation you chant a mantra that says ‘Asangoham’. What does it mean?
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:
It means that I am unattached. I am not this. I am not the scenery. Till the time that we are closer to the Seer - again and again, we say that 'I am not this body, I am not this mind, I am not the thoughts, I am not the feelings'. After rejecting everything that we are not, we reach to what we are. I am ‘Asangoham’ - unattached. My form is of Sat-Chit-Ananda (Truth Consciousness Bliss). This is what we remind ourselves of again and again.
