The third day in Beijing

    Today we went to The Old Summer Palace.by underground.

    In the morning,the weather was sunny,but in the noon,the weather became rainy. We didn't have umbrellas,so we became wet.

    In The Old Summer Palace,we crossed the river by boat. There were many lotus  flowers in the river.

    The poet Zhou Dunyi once wrote the poem<Ode To The Lotus Flowers>. The poem said:

Numerous kinds of adorable flowers flourish in land and water.

While Tao Yuanming in Jin Dynasty loves chrysanthemum only. Peony has been extremely fond of by the world since Tang Dynasty, while I love lotus only for.

It came from silt but remains clean, washed in water but stays pure.

It stands there, gracefully and elegantly, with its stem hollow and straight, its limbs smooth and neat, its fragrance more quiet and beautiful in far.

Only appreciation in a distance is allowed for such a plant, (thus any touch with irreverence is forbidden)......

    In the poem,the lotus flowers were beautiful,I think so. The lotus flowers in the rain were beautiful too.

    Crossed the river,we went to the Xi Yang Lou ruins. Although the rain was harder and harder,we didn't have umbrellas.

    In the end. We backed to the hotel by underground and walk. Although we were wet,hungry and tired,we had to keep going.

    In the hotel,we took a shower and did some work. After that,we played our mobile phone for an hour.
