Captured by God

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. ---Philippians3:12

Do not volunteer as a worker of the Lord, but when God calls you, woe to you if you turn left and right. For we have not chosen to work for God, and therefore to work, but because God has found us.

Never think, “oh, I am not cut out for this.” Your message is determined by God, not by your own natural preferences. Keep your heart close to God and remember that you were called not only to testify but also to preach the Gospel. Every believer must bear witness, but the call to preach must be firmly grasped by God’s hand. Was your life captured by God for this single thing? How many of us are like this? Never discount God’s word, but preach it according to his most serious truth.

Be faithful to God’s word; But in human relations, remember who you are—not a special being made in heaven, but a blessed sinner. I didn’t think I had it. I have only one thing to do.

Dear God, please let me see you, feel you, believe in you and know you completely in the way and to the extent that you allow. For whom shall I wait but for you?
