His ascension is one with us

While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. ---Luke24:51

The experience of the Lord after his transformation is something we cannot experience. From then on, the Lord’s life was all about the redemption. Before climbing, he lived a normal life. After climbing the mountain, experiencing Gethsemane, the cross and even the resurrection are not familiar to us. His cross is the door, which man enters God’s life. His resurrection give him the power to give eternal life. His ascension opens the gates of heaven to all.

On the ascended mountain, the significance of mountaineering metamorphosis becomes apparent. If Jesus ascended into the heaven during his transfiguration on the mountain, he went away lone and was only a glorious image to us, but he condescended to descend from the mountain to join the fallen.

Ascension is the realization of the transfiguration of the mountain, and our Lord returns to his former glory at this time; but he went back not only as the son of God, but also as the son of Man. For when the son of Man ascends into the heaven, men will have free access to the throne of God. As the son of man, Jesus deliberately limited his omnipotence and omnipresent freedom; when he ascended to the heaven, he was in charge of it all. Jesus Christ for the son of Man has all the power of the throne of God. From the day he ascended to the heaven until this day, he is the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Dear God, every aspect of me needs you completely, completely and absolutely. I am cavern waiting for you to fill, filling me with your glory and goodness until it flows.
