Almost everyone playing an important role in Jobs’ life appears in the book and states their deep impression on him. Steve’s father is the first one, Steve Wozniak is the second one. He says:
I remember him telling me that engineering was the highest level of importance you could reach in the world. It takes society to a new level.
Many superior engineers, artists, designers, advertisement producers are introduced in this book, who are better than Steve Jobs in particular work field, but they all appreciate Jobs’ higher ability to recognize beauty and persistence in making great products. Steve helps them to harness personal ability.
Steve drops out of Reed due to its boredom but pursues Zen art and lives a life as a vegetarian.
After a week, you start to feel fantastic, he said, you get a ton of vitality from not having to digest all this food. I was in great shape. I felt I could get up and walk to San Francisco anytime I wanted.
vegetarianism, and Zen Buddhism, meditation and spirituality, acid and rock - Jobs rolled together.
I am stunned at Steve’s persistence to make things through. Holmes said: “if you trust him, you can do things, if he’s decided that something should happen, then he’s just going to make it happen”.
I am used to thinking about the possible results but I have never succeed in accomplishing my schedule. Life is so short, I have to do it.
