Pluto
《Pluto》也是《Wonder》系列书中的一篇，主要内容是以Auggie的好朋友Chris的视角来讲述。Chris和Auggie之前是住在一起的邻居，也是非常要好的朋友，后来Chris一家搬走了，所以联系渐渐少了很多，但是他们之间的友谊还在~
ps: Pluto，冥王星，原来是九大行星之一，现在只剩下八大行星了，冥王星被划分为矮行星。
1. And when good friends need us, we do what we can to help them, right? We can't just be friends when it's convenient. Good friendships are worth a little extra effort!
这是Chris的妈妈对Chris说的一段关于友谊的一段话，我觉得很有道理，很赞同。好的友谊不只是享受朋友的帮助、关心和爱护，还需要在彼此需要的时候做一些能力范围内的帮助。这份情谊也是需要用心去维护的~

3. "Dad, I don't know any details!"

bite sb’s head off 指得就是“气势汹汹地回答某人或声色俱厉地训斥某人”，而且通常是没什么理由的发脾气。

7. What happened today was just an accident. It wasn't anyone's fault. It was a fluke.
fluke n. (口语) 侥幸；意外的挫折
If you say that something good is a fluke, you mean that it happened accidentally rather than by being planned or arranged. 侥幸 [非正式] [usu sing, also 'by' N]
8. As I looked at her now, she seemed kind of little to me. I didn't remember the freckle on her cheek. I'd never noticed the tiny lines on her forehead.
freckle n. 雀斑；斑点
Freckles are small light brown spots on someone's skin, especially on their face. 雀斑
这是文章最后Chris观察因交通事故受伤而又疲惫的妈妈睡着的情景，感觉这次事件后Chris内心也应该成长了不少，更多地理解了爸爸妈妈，很感动~Chris的爸爸妈妈正在闹离婚，当然他们内心还是爱着彼此的，只是出现了一些矛盾， 想要分开彼此都冷静一下，但是这样的夫妻关系并没有影响到孩子，他们真诚地和孩子沟通，并没有任何隐瞒，也还是像以前那样关心爱着孩子，这样的处理方式很有智慧~
这里不得不再提一下Auggie的妈妈，在Chris陷在深深的自责而又压抑的情绪中时，爸爸妈妈因为劳累了一天并没有发现这一点，只有Auggie的妈妈觉察出了Chris的不对劲，并妥善地解决了问题，观察力很敏锐。这几位爸爸妈妈真的很了不起，很有同理心，也很用心地去爱孩子、爱家人、还有爱护朋友。不管是哪一种感情，都是需要好好去经营的！
