lesson 2 Breakfast or lunch?
It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime. Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out of the window. It was dark outside. “What a day!” I thought. “It’s raining again.” Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. “I’ve just arrived by train”, she said. “I’m coming to see you.”
“But I’m still having breakfast,” I said.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“I’m having breakfast,” I repeated.
“Dear me,” she said. “Do you always get up so late? It‘s one o’clock!”
5w1h(who when what where why how)的方法来解决,文章讲诉的是上个周日“我”睡到午餐时间,姑母打电话过来知道后非常的诧异,所以中心图就处理成两个主人公打电话的场景。
A: What do you do on Sunday?
B: I never get up early on Sundays.
A: What time do you usually get up?
B: I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime,
especially on rainy days
A: Oh, my Gosh! You don't even eat. breakfast?
B: You know? Last Sunday I got up very late. And it was raining outside. My aunt phoned me and said, “I’ve just arrived by train. And I'm coming to see you.” Then I told her, “I'm still having my breakfast.”
A: Oh, your aunt must be very surprised by you getting up so late.
B: Yeah. She said,“Dear me! Do you always get up so late! It's one o'clock!” she said.
