The Lord’s answer is to leave it for God’s sake, not for the sake of the disciples themselves. Be careful not to mix the spirit of our business with the spirit of “leaving”. “I give myself to God because I expect myself free from my sins and want to be holy.” These are the result of the reconciliation with God, but not the spirit of the Christian faith. “Leaving” is not about anything at all. We have become so commercialized that we go to God for our own interests, not for God. It seems to say, “God, I don’t want you; I want myself; I want to be clean and filled with the holy spirit.” I will climb up your window and say, “see what God has done for me.” If we leave for God’s sake, we may get more without the holy spirit, we will become poor commercial self-interest. Going to the heaven, forgiving our sins and being used by God are true “leaving”, but not causes. The true “leaving” is to personally have a sincere choice of Jesus himself.
Where is the status of Jesus when we face the barriers of human relationships? Most of us will abandon him, saying: “Yes, Lord, I hear your call, but my mother stands in the way, and my wife, my passions, I cannot go.” Jesus says: “You cannot be my disciple.”
The test of leaving is always painful with the kinship. Go beyond it, God will do all he can to embrace those you hurt when you leave them. Be careful not to give up “leaving” without stopping. We only know what the “leaving” is in the vision.
Dear God, let my understanding shine forth with the teaching of your holy spirit.
