About This customer:

American multinational online transportation network company. It provides a smartphone application that connects drivers with people who need a ride. The company’s application enables users to arrange and schedule transportation and/or logistics services with third party providers. The company goal is to make transportation as reliable as running water by helping strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation, and make streets safer.

Lead Reviewer Role:

Lead Reviewer is responsible for reviewing legal translations. They may also carry out other linguistic tasks as assigned. Leads works very closely with Uber Language Owner to achieve these goals. The main goal of the Lead Reviewer is to ensure the translation quality for a given language meets the expectations and needs of the local market, including external users, customers and partners of Uber, across all products.

Responsibilities:

-      Proofreading, editing and review of all translated drafts received from the translation teams

-      Verification of context and language suitability

-      Correct typographical and grammatical errors and check for consistency

-      Ensure that all projects adhere to company standards for format, style and content

-      Manage jobs in a proactive manner and deliver high quality results

-      Analyzes the quality results and reviews overall language results in the dashboard on a weekly basis.

-      Leads and coaches Moravia Reviewers.

-      Provides direct peer support to reviewers within their team and is responsible of driving alignment across reviewers, making sure all review work is consistent with Uber´s quality standards and guidelines.

-      Communicates with Uber Teams regularly (+ ad hoc).

-      Communicates with Backup Reviewers to ensure that specific expectations are understood.

-      Keeps Agendas updated. Collects client/translator feedback and updates and distribute material to all reviewers involved and vice versa.

-      When inconsistencies in Reference material are identified, reports to Uber Teams accordingly.

-      Coordinates Monthly calls with Backup Reviewers (+ ad hoc) and uses these calls to discuss linguistic specific aspects, calibrate and share best practices with Reviewers.

-      Identifies early warning signs of quality degradation from individual Backup Reviewers/ Translators
