Leaning too much on either sides of the spectrum can be detrimental.
If we think that we have all the time in the world, and use it as an excuse to not take action to build the life we want for ourselves, we may remain a bystander to our lives for ever.
But I’d like to focus on the other extreme — constantly fearing like we’re running out of time, and that we should be achieving things on a very tight timeline.
I’ve personally spent years beating myself up for having project ideas that I wouldn’t execute on right away.
I felt like I should start and finish everything in a heartbeat, without giving myself the time to actually put in the work that would be necessary to achieve anything meaningful.
I felt like I was in a rush. The glorification of the 20-something entrepreneur who has an idea and as a result builds a unicorn within 9 months was not helping.
