Develop the habit of having a go

So, I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man. ---Acts24:16

The commandment of God is sent unto his son, even unto us, which have his son in us. His commands are hard to carry out, but they will be easy to do when we obey because of the power from the heaven. Conscience holds me to depend on the highest standard, and tells me what is the highest requirement, and teaches me how to act. It is the eye of the mind, which lifts its eyes towards God, or towards the highest standard God has set, so that the standards of conscience vary from person to person. If I always look upon in God, my conscience will be toward God’s perfect law, showing me what I should do. The question is whether I surrender God. I must keep my conscience sharp enough not to act against God. I and the son of God should be united in one mind, which are renewed in every circumstance, so that I may know “what is God’s good, pure, and pleasing will.”

God chastens us thoroughly. Is my ear sharp enough to hear the smallest voice of the holy spirit and know what I should do? “Don’t grieve the spirit of God.” His voice is not like thunder. His voice is extremely small and easily passed over. To make our conscience sensitive to God, it is necessary to form the habit of always being open to Him. He that hesitates must cease. “Why can’t I?” then you’re on the wrong track. When our consciences speak, there is no room for the hesitation. It is too risky for you to allow one thing to hinder your fellowship with God in secret places. Whatever it is, let it go! Always keep your inner vison clear.

Dear God, touch me and bathe the Banks of my life in your peace, and I will be filled with praise.
