Pilot and little prince have to avoid an army of airplanes from enemy. In the meantime （在此期间）,they discussed a question about whether a sheep will eat flowers,even the flowers have thorns （刺）.
The little prince wonder what use of these thorns. However, pilot's attention is diverted by enemy. So he respond that thorns use for spite（恶意）.This answer make little prince feel a bit angry and don't believe his perspective （观点）.
Little prince think that flowers are very weak and delicate,so they need thorns to protect themselves. He is angry about pilot mix up the incident between enemy and the significance of thorns for flowers .
Pilot feel sorry about it, so he drew a muzzle（口套）for little prince's sheep. Then the sheep will not eat his flower.
