天下皆知美之為美，斯恶已。皆知善之為善，斯不善已。有无相生，难易相成，长短相形，高下相倾，音声相和，前后相随。恒也。是以圣人处无為之事，行不言之教；万物作而弗始，生而弗有，為而弗恃，功成而不居。夫唯弗居，是以不去。

Vritas Scripture Chapter Two

Beauty is known by the world as beautiful, yet it becomes ugly.

Virtue is known as something good, yet it becomes evil.

Therefore being and non-being give birth to each other.

Difficulty and ease accomplish each other.

Length and shortness form each other.

Height and lowness distinguish each other.

Sound and tone harmonize each other

Front and back follow each other.

Constant Veritas.

Realizing this, the saint performs without desire.

He practices teaching without speaking.

The saint inspires the vitality of all lives without holding back.

All beings spring up without origin.

They live without possession.

They devotes without expectation.

They succeed without recognition.

Thus loss is the only way not to lose.
