英语的语言简洁性

今天老师让我们即时翻译一个句子，汉语是有趣的是狗狗可以找到回家的路。

我第一次翻译的是what’s interesting is that the dog can find the way to home on his own.

后来想着后面物主代词不对就改成what’s interesting is that the dog can find the way to home on its own.

老师提示说the way to 后面应该不定式的话，怎么写。

我改成what’s interesting is that the dog can find the way to go home on its own.

老师说'这是特指的那条狗还是？

what’s interesting is that dogs can find the way to go home on its own.

老师又说，语言简洁性，回家的路怎么说，后来才清楚，继续改

老师说了，为啥一定要体现on it's own呢？狗狗能找到回家的路不就是只有狗狗一个可以产生动作的主体么？
