Many people are like garbage trucks
Yesterday I read the quote below.
“Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they look for a place to dump it. And if you let them, they’ll dump it on you. So when someone wants to dump on you, don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Believe me. You’ll be happier.”
Don’t you think it interprets our lives so vividly and it couldn’t be more philosophical!
Every day, we definitely come across so many different things; some of them make you frustrated while others cheer you up. Worse still, we can’t choose what type of events we’re met with.
So what exactly can we do when we encounter bad things? Walk away from each problem or dwell on every issue? Yell at coworker pissing you off or pretend to be happy with friends frustrating you?
Sometimes, it’s hard for us to make a so-called right choice. That’s just human nature.
So what I am trying to do is accept it, not take it personally, just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.
Hey buddy, think about it this way, not only do other people need outlets for anger, frustration or disappointment, you need them too! This is a fact of life, right?
We need to learn to adapt to this society which is absolutely a melting pot full of all kinds of people and problems that will leave you fed up.
Trust me. Don’t be perturbed when you hear bad news, don’t get so worked up when you succeed, don’t live vicariously through others in search of a life that doesn’t belong to you.
I know you are like a garbage truck, but I don’t mind if you unconsciously dump on me.
