China is the homeland of tea and it is also the birthplace of Tea Culture of the World. The discovery and usage of Chinese tea has been involved glorious history for four or five thousand years. Tea, which is consumed regularly both on formal situations and casual occasions for Chinese people, is intimately related to the daily life of Chinese. Tea-drinking customs are considered as the sign of respect when meeting friends to express strong friendship, a traditional hospitality to the guest, and a kind of ceremony for appreciating traditional virtues.
There is a wide variety of categories for Chinese tea products. The tea appears diversified and special flavors with rich tastes according to the different making process. Three kinds of representative Chinese tea has been chose in this gift series in terms of the Oolong tea (Wuyi Mountain Rock or Big Red Robe Tea ), the Black Tea (Lapsang Souchong from Wuyi Mountain), and the Green Tea (Wild Green Tea from Wuyuan). Wuyi Mountain Rock or Big Red Robe Tea:
WuYi Mountain Rock TeaThis tea is the representative of Oolong varieties classified as semi-fermented teas. It comes from Xingcun Town, Rock Tea Production Areas, Wuyi City, Fujian Province, which is a well-known place of tea produce in southern China. The tea demonstrates a lasting flowery fragrance of orchid. The tea will give you a smooth drinking with a satisfying aftertaste.
Lapsang Souchong from Wuyi Mountain:
Lapsang SouchongLapsang Souchong is the representative of Black Tea varieties classified as fermented teas. It originates from Tongmuguan Village, Xingcun Town, Wuyi City, Fujian Province, which is a well-known place of tea town in southern China. The clear and bright tea soup offers a uniquely rich aromas and flavors with subtle hints of dried longan. This fine black tea brings round and mellow tastes.
Wild Green Tea from Wuyuan:
WuYuan Wild Green TeaThe Wild Green Teas are produced from old tea trees of Dalian Mountain in Wuyuan. Wuyuan, Jiangxi, as one of the most beautiful countrysides of China, has several excellent tea plantations in Dalian Mountain at an average altitude of around over 1200 meters. More than one hundred years ago, the villages in Dalian Mountain were moved and meanwhile, tea trees were abandoned. Years later, they grew in a self-sown way without human impacts.
You can spend 10 hours within one day on climbing mountains to arrive these five tea gardens. Only about 500kg teas can be produced if tea farmers make use of pots in mountain streams, yet the number of wild green teas are numerous. This tea has wild nature with smelling like flower fragrance of kiwi fruits. The taste is so fresh and brisk that it seems like serving the throat with orchid and angelica when sipping the tea.
