而Aeneas的故事还有后续，因为下一个故事，主角还是他。
上一次讲到Aeneas在Venus的帮助下乘船离开特洛伊。在穿越满城的战火中，他失去了心爱的妻子。然后在漫长的海上旅行中，Juno掀起的一场风暴中，他又失去了他的父亲。满心创伤地乘着同样千疮百孔的船只来到一个港口，正是那命运的转折点迦太基，Carthage。这个城市，就是Juno最想保护的城市。于是Juno计划在这里改变那注定的命运，她要拯救Carthage。 当时统治这个城市的是女王Dido, 一位美丽的但丧夫的女子。如果Aeneas爱上她，定居下来，就不会再想去Italy，而他如果不去Italy, 也不会有什么后代建立罗马，然后把希腊这些城市都灭了。
Juno had a plan to save Carthage and change the fated future.
The grand city of Carthage was ruled by the beautiful Queen Dido. Dido's husband, the king, had passed away. She was a widow. Juno planned to make Aeneas and Dido fall in love. The Aeneas would settle in Cartage and never make it to Italy.
但是Venus怎么会让Juno如愿呢？她让她的另一个儿子来帮忙，爱神丘比特，Cupid, 让他想办法让Dido死心踏地地爱上Aeneas。Cupid很爽快地答应了。
To make sure that Jupiter's prediction would happen, she asked her son Cupid for help.
"The Fates have decided that Aeneas will find his way to Italy," Venus said to Cupid. "He will not lose his heart to the beautiful queen Dido. But Dido's heart is another matter. ... Dido must fall in love with Aeneas hard. She must love him enough to help repair his ships. ... For my plan to wok, Dido must love Aeneas to her death," Venus told Cupid.
