Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose. ---Psalms15:12
What are you entangled in? You say, “no.” In fact, we all have something entwined, and this is usually ourselves. If we are believers, what haunts us is our experiences. The poet says that we must be haunted by God. Making life to last forever is to be with God, but not only to miss him. The life inside and outside of us should be haunted by God without interruption. Like the clinging of a child to his mother. Though he didn’t think of her deliberately, his mother was the constant relation during the distress. Therefore, we live, work and remain to rely on God. We see the things through God, because the ever-present perception of God is present in every moment.
If God lingers around us, there is nothing to attack---no worry, no trouble, no anxiety, so we can understand why the Lord emphasizes the sin of worry. If God is all around us, should we have no faith in him? God’s surround is the most effective defense against the enemy.
“He shall dwell in safety.” If our life is hidden with Christ in God, he will protect us even under the persecution, misunderstanding and slander. We often miss out on God’s wonderful walk. “God is our refuge.”—Nothing can penetrate it.
Dear God, your face, your touch and your blessing are what I seek today. God, touch me, and every part of me is shocked and inspired by your kindness and your peace with power.
What are you entangled in?
