Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. –-Romans8:34
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit, because the spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. –-Romans8:27
What theory do we need to support ourselves in doing the job of a surrogate? Christ lives and intercedes for us; and the holy spirit intercedes to the saints. Is there any form of the solidarity in our relationship with men, so that we are truly like children of the holy spirit, faithful to intercession? When we start with our daily environment- family, work, country and the shared circumstances- do these things weigh heavily on us? Does it take us away from God’s presence and leave us no time to worship? In this way, let us stop and return to a lively relationship with God; let the relationship with men and us restore to the place of intercession; God may do wonders.
Be careful not to exceed God by desiring to do his will. We get ahead of God in many things, only to be overwhelmed by the burden of affairs and difficulties, and stop worshipping and interceding to others. When the burdens and the pressures come, and we don’t have a worship attitude, it not only causes a hard heart to God, but also discourages ourselves. God keeps giving us people who have nothing to do with us. At this time, unless we worship God, our natural response is to treat them with indifference. After giving them a heart-wrenching scripture or a reproachful exhortation on God’s behalf, they walked away. It pains the Lord to have such a heartless believer.
Do we stand with the Lord and the holy spirit in the work of intercession?
Dear God, probe the innermost motives of my heart, and let the holy spirit pray for us there, saying the prayers I cannot utter. (20190912)
