the Last article: Lady Chatterley's lover

If I never read the book, I would understand what the title means, Gone with the Wind, in the end of the novel, Rhett left Scarlett alone in a lot of pain, a misty, cold night. The end sounds heavy, but relieved. Even if several characters died for different reasons, little Bonnie died in an accident, Melanie died for giving another birth, Charles died of scarlet fever, Frank died in the fighting the black man who attacked his wife. Of course, the war also took soldiers' lives away cruelly. However, brave Scarlett still see the hope and look forward to the coming of next day. I believe that everything will have been gone with the wind as the time passes.
After reading and digesting the content, I see there are three special characters in this story. Scarlett is the most brave one, Melanie is the kindest one, and Rhett is the most real one. Why do I make the concluding? Let us see the whole story.
The heroin Scarlett is daughter of plantation owner, so is Ashley. They were thought to be ranked in wealthy people in that age. Scarlett also loved Ashley for years even without any respond. For once, at party before war, she went into the library with Ashley and showed her love, but she was rejected for some reason that she did not understand for years. In fact, she did not know what love was, she also did not know the two persons would not be happy after marriage if they are so unlike.
Scarlett is full of emotions, she is furious easily when she cannot get what she wants, she is sturbben as well, she flirted with boys and boys all loved her. During her life, she has three short marriages, at the age of seventeen she married her first husband who died in the army during American Civil War. So she became a widow quickly and must be in mourning after his death. It did upset her, for she never loved Charles, being a widow made her unable to dance at dance floor again, she still had fierce desire to be with boys, it is sadness that was understood.
She got the money in his will after the war, she had a son with him, but she always neglected his existence so that the boy got along better with housekeeper than his mom. As Rhett said she just used him to hurt Ashley who she did love.
The war changed everything especially Scarlett and Ashley's life, but Scarlett is stronger than Ashley. Even the former slave realised that, he said that the war made bad influence on the weathly.
After war, for feeding the big family, Scarlett started to work hard like a slave. Ashley seemed he lost everything but the skill of independence. The chance of working in a lumber factory was provided by Scarlett, the broken of war made her be a successful business woman, but Ashley is not as strong.
In order to getting enough money to run a factory, she married the second husband Frank, she was not thought as a lady for stealing her sister's lover. She was someone who was talked the most.
If she lives in 21st century, she will be manlike and successful, even though she is selfish without knowing love. Unfortunely her second husband also died for her. She was a widow in black again without sadness because of no love for Frank. She had another baby with Frank before that, an ugly girl in her eyes whom she did not love.
I do not know whether the fate tricked on her, she welcomed her the third marriage after less than one month of Frank's death, the bridegroom is not respectable man in there, he made fun of Scarlett, and she also disliked him. However they are a lot alike, so they really had a good time together after marriage as Rhett thought.
However how can the writer make a good ending for them? It was during war, a heavy word anytime. They tried to have new life again, they had a pretty and smart daughter named sweet name Bonnie, Scarlett still paid more attention in factory to be with Ashley after honeymoon, for love, she forgave the mistakes Ashley made on accounts or numbers, Ashley is not so good at math as her.
Bonnie's death changed all again, Scarlett and Ashley are miserable, the problem of education also attracts my attention. Bonnie could get anything she wanted, she is beautiful, but the other two children of Scarlett never got the same care like her, Bonnie was doing something that did not match her age, she just was 4 years old who could not control a pony well. As her parents, they should see it and avoid it.
Finally Bonnie's death took all out of Rhett, no one was so sad the way Rhett was, he looked like a ghost and was drunk all the time. And then, kind Melanie also died in the sane week, the doctor had told her the next labor would make her die, she was so weak and thin, but she wanted another kid for Ashley, her love means doing everything for her lover and making him happy. Scarlett never knew it, when she saw it, Melanie was dying, Bonnie had been dead, Rhett was leaving.
Maybe Melanie's last words made her know Rhett's specially love to her, maybe she came to understand all herself, she became a real woman from a teen who held the happiness youth after war, she was a lady in the end of story, she saw the good character in Melanie's heart. "The kindest people are the strongest and best." The sentence was said by Scarlett, but it also can be our motto of life. Melanie is simple and common one with pale, a little silly face in the story, Scarlett is different from her, the former got a peaceful life, the latter always was in sadness without getting what she wants, she wanted Ashley who she never knew about, in some sense, Scarlett was innocent who needed to grow, when everything happened to her, she did.
I really hope she will find the way to get Rhett back and all pains will be gone with the cool wind.
