LOVE, SORROW, FEAR AND PAIN
Hard as we may struggle in this life
Problems we get all the way down
Many places I’ve been there’s always green grass on the other side
Much money I’ve had but never had enough
All we get in this life is but pain
Businesses I’ve had and owned
But only ulcers I’ve gained with the profit
Many lovers I’ve had and loved
But only frustration I got
Many quiet a night I’ve drunk
But only hangover and an empty purse I got
A loving summer I got me
But outgrew the age to be caressed
A caring daddy I got me
But only have to carry his weight on my shoulders
Affectionate brothers I got me
But just can’t win their confidence
Dear jolly sister I got me
But try as I might, just can’t win their love back
Will the mighty god help?
一）爱、悲伤、恐惧和痛苦
此生我们苦斗
麻烦贯彻始终
我去过多地绿草如茵
赚再多的钱也不够用
今生所得唯有痛苦
我曾经做了不少生意
赚来的钱却换来了溃疡
我有过很多情人我也深爱
得到的却是挫败
多少个静夜我畅饮
落得个宿醉钱包空
我也有过浪漫的夏天
却已过了恋爱的年龄
我有关爱我的爹
负担却落到了我肩上
我有亲热的兄弟
还有可爱的快乐小妹
我却赢不来他们的信任
再努力也得不到他们的关爱
全能的上帝啊，帮帮我

In the old lines I read experience
In the old voice I read pain
In the old eyes I read sorrow
In the old head I read wisdom
In the old heart I read bravado
In the old jokes I read happiness
In the old face I read stories
In the old sobs I read misfortune
In the old hair I read truth
In the old songs I read pleasure
In the old breast I read affection
In the old tears I read guilt
In the old bosom I read love
In the old hands I read labour
In the old smiles I read sweetness
In the old knees I read power
In the old frown I read discipline

二）亲爱的奶奶
在您年老体衰时，我读到了苦难
从您深深的皱纹，我读到了经验
从您苍老的声音，我读到了痛苦
从您昏花的双眼，我读到了悲伤
从您深思的头脑，我读到了智慧
从您的内心深处，我读到了逞能
从您常说的笑话，我读到了快乐
从饱经风霜的脸，我读到了故事
在您久久啜泣时，我读到了不幸
从您的白发苍苍，我读到了真理
从您哼唱的老歌，我读到了欢乐
从您深情的胸怀，我读到了关爱
在您老泪纵横时，我读到了内疚
在您深邃的怀抱，我读到了慈爱
从老茧密布的手，我读到了辛劳
从您慈祥的微笑，我读到了甜蜜
从您结实的双膝，我读到了力量
