    How did you sleep last night? If you say yes, that means you are healthy and lucky. In modern society, more and more people are suffering from sleeplessness due to various reasons, like stress, anxiety, illness, or insomnia.

    You might find that it is difficult to get to sleep at some nights, but that is not insomnia. Insomnia refers to people that who can not go to sleep easily every night. Long-term deprivation of sleep will lead to insomnia, and people who are trapped in that feel tired, worried and unenergetic. That is a big problem for one’s health.

    What would you do if you can’t go to sleep? Lying in the dark, tossing and turning over and over and over again , counting sheep, or do some online shopping becoming a vampire shopper?

    These are not a good idea obviously. An expert called Gardner who knows all things to do with sleep, appeared on BBC recently and gave his suggestions about insomnia.

    He said if you can’t go to sleep at night, just get out of bed and stay away of bed for some time until you feel sleepy. He added that it sounds opposite to the usual thoughts and counter-intuitive, but it is based on tons of data by his research team.

    The bed is designed for sleep, he explained. Once you can’t go to sleep soon when you go to bed, you will do some other things on bed, thinking, worrying, surfing, or online shopping. Then the effects of bed that put you into sleep are diluted to some extent, if the condition always happens it will cause chronic insomnia. That is really a problem.

    Mr. Gardner said although his suggestion is far beyond one might expect and it is not 100 percent valid, however, based on his data, it is worthwhile to give it a try. Think of this solution if you are now suffering from insomnia.
