Maybe,

three times the amount of space we did 50 years ago

    we've got triple the space

    where does this lead?

Lots of credit card debt, huge environmental footprints, and perhaps
    not coincidentally, [并非巧合]
    our happiness levels
flat-lined [fail to increase; remain static.]
    over the same 50 years.

that less might actually equal more

gave you a little more freedom, a little more time

    my own little jewel box
(home office, sit down dinner for 10, room for guests, and all my kite surfing gear.)

So how can you live little? Three main approaches.

    1:

    to edit ruthlessly [毫不留情]

cut the extraneous out of our lives

We need to think before we buy.

Ask ourselves, "Is that really going to make me happier? Truly?

    2:

    small is sexy

want things that nest, that stack, and we want it digitized.

    3:

    multifunctional spaces and housewares

Could I do with a little life editing

So let's make room for the good stuff.
