Worshipping

From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east and there he built an alter to the cord and called upon the name of the Lord. Genesis 12:8

Worshipping means that give the Lord the best thing God has granted. You should carefully deal with all things you think the best. After you gain the Lord’s blessing, you should take the best things to return to God as loving gift. You should think in silence before the Lord, through the worshipping, offering the blessing to God. If you keep on the best things to yourself, it will become the spiritual rotten wood, like the Manna stored. God never let you get the spiritual things. It must return to the God’s hands, then God will grant the blessing to other people again.

Bethel is the emblem of communicating with God, but Ai’s meaning is “World”. Abraham built the camping between the Bethel and the Ai. How much value we work for God outside depends on the relationship with God in private. It is incorrect if you worship God hurriedly, because there is more time to worship God, but at that moment the arranged time will be a trap and make us ignore the need of silence every day. Building the camping should not affect the frequent contact with the world and can communicate with God anytime anywhere. The spiritual life does not have to include worshipping, waiting and working. Some people one minute jump from worshipping to waiting and the next minute jump to working from waiting. God’s heart requires that three aspects exist at the same time. In the Lord life, the three aspects always coincide. Jesus is busy without impatience. But this is a discipline, we cannot accomplish in an action.
