Nowadays, in order to research and develop new medicines and treatments, researchers require a large amount money to set affordable objectives, purchase sustainable tools, draft necessary training strategies and proceed comprehensive meaningful collaborations. From my perspective, private companies, individuals and governments can all fund medical researches in different ways.

First and foremost, all enterprises, pharmaceutical companies in particular, should sponsor the research and development of clinical trials because creating new medicines and treatments is a long and rigorous process. It is a well-known fact that any new drug or treatment needs extensive study before it can possibly be used on a wide scale. Therefore, without the support of professional pharmaceutical enterprises, many medical studies and experiments can hardly be carried out for a long time.

Furthermore, individuals can subsidize medical experiments by voluntarily participating in clinical researches as experimental subjects. Actually, being research volunteers, patients will receive many advantages including latest treatments and expensive tests at no cost. In a word, it is significant for volunteers to join researches into new treatments or drugs, which can assist them to seek relief from afflictions and to better understand their own conditions.

Besides companies and individuals, governments should allocate funds for researching cost-effective drugs and therapies to treat chronic diseases prevalent in the aged populations. For a range of common diseases, the government of a country is obliged to raise appropriations from the national financial revenue for medical researches to search efficient alternative therapies or drugs. More importantly, governments must fund researches in cutting-edge medical fields such as  new treatments and medicines of cancer, AIDS, and other rare diseases.

All in all, the three parties----private companies, individuals and governments should fund medical researches, which is important for enhancing people’s health status.
