诗词西韵 (32) Resurrection of old memories 太常引  夜来风送四弦声

One night the wind brought in sounds of four-string,

faster than the song of a bird in spring,

Shooting straight up to the lonely sky,

Driving away clouds that blocked the moonlight.

The moonlight was so soothing and tender,

As if you were by my side and whispered.

The music suddenly became silent,

When the aged emotion just turned vibrant.

With voice gone, was your presence a mirage?

True or false, to whom shall I talk this life?

太常引  夜来风送四弦声

夜来风送四弦声，快疾赛啼莺。鹤唳破云层，素辉见，幽幽月明。

琴音渐缓，呢喃低语，倾诉有谁听？曲了泪难停，流不尽，离愁别情。
