Are your spiritual eyes blind?

“Lift up your eyes on high and see: Who created these? He who brings out their host and numbers them, calling them all by name; because he is great in strength, mighty in power, not one is missing.” –Isaiah40:26

God’s people only saw God’ face at Isaiah’s time, so that their hearts were blind. They couldn’t see the Lord. Isaiah asked them to lift their eyes on high and see. His purpose was to let them think about with their whole hearts and see everything clearly. If we are God’s children, it is inevitable that we can realize the infinite treasure from the nature and find the holiness containing in everything including a breeze, sunrises and sunsets, a wisp of cloud, a small flower and a leaf. Truly, they are that God says words to us. So long as we think about it through our imagination, we will taste and understand.

A spiritual test is that whether we can restrain our thoughts and motives. For example, whether do our thoughts focus on other idols? The idols include ourselves, our work and the thoughts of our serving or our experience we are saved and sanctified. So, our eyesight to God lost. If so, when we face difficulties, we are powerless. We only can bear all under the darkness. If we can’t see, don’t turn head to see our own experience. We just only keep to lift the Lord, because we need God. We must escape the Idols’ fetters and get away anything blocking our thoughts of thinking of God. We must wake from our sleep to receive Isaiah people’s call that our hearts and minds must resolve to return toward God.

If we feel that our prayers don’t work, one of the reasons is that we lost the ability to see God, even we can’t imagine how to walk toward the Lord. So, we need to learn how to become a split cookie and the wine poured. We should pray for each other more than the work we contact with people. God grants the disciples the ability to see, so that disciples can give up their own selfish to enter the relationship they never experience.
