Listening

A cat squinted at something, asleep with sunshine
it jogged ears suddenly, but eyes still lazy
Of course, it knew that an ant had just passed by
A dog's vision is colourless, but the owner's call
and its tail never tired from playing are excluded
It knows pine needles falling, dewdrops sliding
One can hear a fish approaching at end of the line
but never know what the others shouting about

We all have a hearing problem, even
use the mouth instead of the eyes

猫眯缝着眼睛，阳光下瞌睡着，忽然
耳朵的边缘抽动了一下，眼睛仍然怠工
它仍然知道，一只蚂蚁刚好经过
狗的眼睛是全色盲，除了主人的呼唤
以及玩不腻味的尾巴，它同样知道
松针落在雪地上，露珠儿从叶子滑落
人可以听到鱼线下鱼儿正在靠近
却永远不知道，其他人在嚷嚷什么

你我都捕捉不到是耳朵，而且
还用嘴巴，代替了眼睛
