“It is good for that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes.” Psalms119:71
From the outside, the adverse environment is suffering. People who misunderstand the truth often focus on the physical enjoyment, even they tend to think that the adverse environment is a disaster. However, for people understanding the truth and willing to learn the further Holy Bible knowledges, suffering is beneficial for people. Because suffering can bring people to the Lord, and let people of God learn how to pray and how to trust in the Lord. Meanwhile, suffering not only makes people have the further knowing for the Lord and experience the Lord’s statutes, but also suffering can make proud people humble and let lack of content people learn thanksgiving. Therefore, every suffering from the loving God allowing to come is a lesson that is beneficial to the life of God’s children.
While facing the suffering, the common response is the doubt and the complaint. However, God’s children believe that all things work together for good to them that love God. So, even in the face of adversity, the believers need to trust in the promises of the Bible more carefully, listen quietly to the conforming words of God and guide them through the darkness. Because people can find grace in suffering. Suffering makes one seek God. Suffering puts us on the same level, regardless of the rich and poor, noble and humble, fame and wealth, power and position, which are completely useless. Suffering will make the life grow. A lot of life with the mature quality is from the result that they go through the hardships to hone, as the Jade ware needs to be carved, the gold needs to be fired, the steel needs to be hammered, the vine need to be pruned to bear the fruits, the olives need to be pressed to yield the oil, and the bamboo needs to be chipped for the irrigation.
In the Lord kingdom, as soon as people would like to repent, they will leave away the evil and get life. Once they would like to receive Jesus as their savior, their sins will be forgiven and be at rest. The Lord is our helper and our constant help in trouble. He is also our savior and in death He bring us the hope of resurrection.
