“Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof. I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you.” Proverbs 1:24-26
In the old testament, God’s people sin again and again, but God repeatedly sent the Judges and Prophets to save them. These examples show God’s compassion and patience for people. In our society, God also has great patience with us; God calls us but we won’t listen to the Lord’s words instead of listening to people. These are many examples and we are not strange. It is pity that even they are cheated by people’s words for several times, they still go the same way. Pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness because people listen to people ‘s words without God’s rules. Isaiah says that God called Israeli and God stretched out his hand on the whole day, but no one listened to him. God keeps shouting and calling, but no one pays attention. When people listen to the Lord’s words, God’s blessings will give them. In our life, many of us experienced the sweetness and spiritual beauty God granted, but the next day, when they come back to worship God, to approach God, to seek God, they have no strength again.
In the Christ, it’s no accident that the source of the environment, because everything is held by God. all things happen in the children of the Lord are no coincidence. Some environments are from the Lord. The purpose is to show the Lord’s will and it is benefit for the children of the Lord. There are circumstances tempted by Satan. The goal is to undermine the faith of God’s children. He takes away the joy of the heart of the Lord’s children and forbids that the children walk on the way of heaven. But we must know that any circumstances the evil tempts cannot go beyond the area God holds. As the Proverbs says that He who doesn’t listen to God’s counsel will accept the bad results of his own hands.
This morning, when I prepared for going to work, I found that I couldn’t find my work card. Last night, after I finished my work before 9:00PM, I went to the grocery store to buy two cucumbers. I guessed that my work card should be left in the store, but my working time was approaching this morning, I didn’t have time to the store for finding it. I prayed for it that I hoped I could find the card because it is very troublesome if let me renew another card in the HR department.
As soon as I finished my prayer in the morning, my mobile phone rang. In surprise, one of my colleagues told me that my work card was put in the guards of our company. My work card was indeed left in the grocery store last night. One of the cashiers of the grocery store worked in our company one year ago. She transferred my work card to her husband, who still works in our company. So, I am lucky to get my work card and punched in normally.
I think that God is always with me whether the case is coincidence or not. I must praise God.
