主讲人简介：
主讲人为Alex Schultz。Alex 2007年加入 Facebook， 目前是该公司增长部门副总裁。加入 Facebook 前，Alex 曾担任 eBay 营销经理。此外，他还是一名关注平权的活动人士。
1，你看到了吗
在强调留存率（retention）是产品发展最重要的指标的过程中。Alex 讲了一个有趣的故事：
英国物理学家杰弗里·泰勒竟然通过一篇杂志上的关于美军的“三位一体”核试验的一张图片，运用单位推算的一些方法，居然就一步步计算出了这颗美军原子弹的能量！与此同时，俄国也发表了一些类似图片，他也是仅仅用了空间推算的法子就完成了计算。也就是说，泰勒仅仅通过一张照片，揭开了当时全世界的最高机密之一。
看到这里，好奇心旺盛的我来回把这段看了好几遍，也Google了一些资料。遗憾的是，并没有查到关于这个故事的详细资料，所以这位物理学家到底是怎么计算出结果来的，我也不清楚。
不过，这个故事对我启发最大的是：生活中，拥有不同的知识、学科背景的人，眼中看到的世界差别可能大得超乎想象。有时候，他们眼中看到的事物或者规律，要么是与常人完全相反，要么是根本没看到。这也是前几讲的主讲人让我印象深刻的地方，他们眼中的看待事物（startup）的角度非常独特，以至于他们经常把counterintuitive这个词挂在嘴边。
几千年前，老子也讲过一个类似的道理：上士闻道，勤而行之；中士闻道，若存若亡；下士闻道，大笑之。不笑不足以为道。为什么上、下、中士看到同一件事（道）的反应截然不同，也就就是看得到与看不到的区别吧。
2，成长之路
整堂课，最打动的我是Alex最后几分钟的一段话。他在讲这段话的时候全神贯注，神情严肃，目光坚毅。
为什么我被这段话深深地打动了呢？因为从这段话里。我看到了一个成功者在奋斗之路上所秉持的信念和态度。对于即将走上职场的我来说，非常受用。
另外，看视频的过程中，我发现翻译人员把Alex口中的“growth”翻译成了“增长”，个人以为，把“growth”翻译成“成长”或许更能表达出Alex本人所表达的意思。
这段话如此之感动我，所以我把它全部记录了下来，分享给大家：

A good plan, violently executed today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow .
And one of the things the most instilled in us. And Harvey still instills in us and Mark instills across the whole of Facebook is this move fast and don't be afraid to break stuff ethos. If you can run more experiments than the next guy, if you can be hungry for growth. If you fight die for every extra user. And you stay up late at night to get those extra users to run those experiments to get the data and do it over and over and over again. You will grow faster. Mark said he thinks we won cause we wanted it more, and I really believe that . We just worked really hard. It's not like we're crazy smart, or we've all done these crazy things before . We just worked really, really hard and we executed fast.
And I strongly encourage you to do that. Growth is optional.
