刚才说到，如果acquit想不到的话，可以用declare sb not guilty，如此一来，江西高院那里就要用一个从句：
On August 4, 2020, Zhang Yuhuan was freed/released after the Supreme People’s Court in China’s eastern Jiangxi Province declared him not guilty in a retrial on the grounds of...
也可以用法院做主语：
On August 4, the Supreme People’s Court in China’s eastern Jiangxi province found 53-year-old Zhang Yuhuan not guilty in a retrial on the grounds that/because “the facts of the original conviction were not clear and the evidence was insufficient”.
第二句
为了这一天，53岁的张玉环盼了将近27年。
前句已经出现过一次名字了，这里的“张玉环”可以与“53岁”这一新增信息结合，the 53-year-old man；
最简单的译法就是：
This 53-year-old man has been waiting for this day for nearly 27 years.
我们还可以再加点戏。为什么等这一天等了27年？因为他被冤枉坐牢了27年，这一天终于来了：
This day has finally come after the 53-year-old man spent almost 27 years in jail/in prison/behind bars.
考虑到这句话也有一些信息是和上句的“原审”相关，比如“27年”，可以尝试和上句合并：
On August 4, 2020, 53-year-old Zhang Yuhuan, after nearly 27 years in prison/after in custody for nearly 27 years / after serving a 27-year prison sentence, was acquitted by the Supreme People’s Court in China’s eastern Jiangxi province in a retrial on the grounds of/due to a lack of sufficient evidence.
“27年”这个信息放状语比较合适。
