最近在准备二笔考试，备考过程中（观摩学习韩刚老师的笔译网课视频）体会到中英两种语言用语习惯的差异，以及翻译所需要的匠人精神；在这个过程中偶尔心有灵犀，心有所悟，不胜欢喜，想与大家分享。
今天分享的方法叫“三段论”。
先看下面的例子：近年来，中国海油加大了资源节约型、环境友好型企业建设力度，不断优化产业结构，推广清洁生产，节约能源资源，淘汰落后工艺技术和生产能力，从源头上控制环境污染，力争在经济发展、企业发展的同时促进人类与自然的和谐相处。
首先，“近年来”这个时间标志词确定了这句话的时态主要是现在完成时，对于这种时态的句子，中文习惯“一逗到底”－也就是我们看到的长句子，但是英文的句子大多比较简洁，所以为了切合英语的表达习惯，我们要对句子进行切分。
其次，我们了解一下“三段论”切分原则：1.principle/idea;2.do what ;3,goal.
我们把切分原则运用到以上例子上：
1. 近年来，中国海油加大了资源节约型、环境友好型企业建设力度，principle/idea
2. 不断优化产业结构，推广清洁生产，节约能源资源，淘汰落后工艺技术和生产能力，从源头上控制环境污染，do what
3. 力争在经济发展、企业发展的同时促进人类与自然的和谐相处。 goal
这样我们把句子拆分成三个部分，分别表述清楚，要比翻译一个大句子好多了。翻译之前还是要先解决词汇和表达的问题。
1. 加大。。。的力度：intensify one's effort to /work harder to /do more to /renew one's commitment to
资源节约型：resource efficient
环境友好型：environment friendly
译文：In recent years, CNOOC has renewed its commitment to be resource efficient and environment friendly .
2.此部分中文有五个句子，属于流水账似的表达，但英文无此习惯，一般两三一组，所以应分成两组；前三个一组，后两个一组。且中文中动词之前的副词基本可以忽略，属于韩刚老师说的费词。
词汇：
优化： upgrade/optimize
产业结构：industry mix （此处结构是混合比例的意思，所以称为mix ,而不是structure。如：export mix，energy mix等）
推广：extend/promote
淘汰：phase out/shut down/shut out/eliminate （shut down/shut out /close out-molded facalities with the capacity of producing *** tons of cement a year ）
落后：out-molded
工艺技术：process
产能：production facility
译文：CNOOC has worked to upgrade industry mix,extend clean production and conserve energy and resources ; CNNOC has phased out out-molded processes and production facilities and reduced environmental footprint at its source.
3. 这句话的主句在最后，促进。。。。，前面术语时间状语部分，在翻译的时候我们先说最重要的信息，然后把状语放在最后。
词汇：
力争：our vision is to /By doing so , we hope to (更好连接句子)
译文：By doing so ,CNOOC hopes to achieve harmony between man and nature while growing business. (economy 是不能被grow 的，所以略去)
最后总结一下，整个句子的翻译就是:In recent years, CNOOC has renewed its commitment to be resource efficient and environment friendly. The organization has worked to upgrade industry mix,extend clean production and conserve energy and resources ; It has phased out out-molded processes and production facilities and reduced environmental footprint at its source.By doing so ,CNOOC hopes to achieve harmony between man and nature while growing business.
