The half-light of light

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the spirit. ---2-Corinthians3:18

God’s servant must always be alone so that he does not feel alone. In the early stages of a believer’s life, it is easy to lose heart, to lose the people who were supposed to lead, to lose the people who were supposed to serve with us. We must be so ordinary that we do not feel alone.

“At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.” –2-Timothy4:16-17

Our faith is not built on the dying light, but on the eternal light. We grieve the death of “great men” unless we know that they were meant to be. One thing cannot fade away, which is to look unto the face of God.

Do not let anything prevent you to look up to God. Look at yourself and your faith from the light of God’s face. Before you speak, turn your face toward God and put everything in the light of his face. In this way, his glory shall continue. The workers of the Lord must face God face to face before they go to preach. Christ’s work is characterized by an unconscious presence of glory. Moses didn’t know that his face was radiant, because the Lord had spoken to him and made him shine.

God has never asked us to reveal our doubts or to proclaim the joy of fellowship with him. The secret of working life for God is to have a harmonious relationship with him all the time. 开 Dear God, how wonderful and powerful you are; let me know that salvation is the great realization of revelation.
