The vision Paul saw on the road to Damascus must be not the experience of emotion, but it was a clear indication from God. So, he said: “I don’t disobey the vision from the Lord.” Actually, the Lord said to Paul: “Your life will be arranged by me. Except me, you can’t have any other plan.” The Lord also says likewise to us: “You don’t choose me but I choose you. and I assign you to do all things…”
After we believe the Lord, we are reborn, so that we get the holy spirit life. It is definite that the vision can be seen by every believer. If we hope that our holy spiritual life can be improved, we must do the right things God requires. And the most important thing is to learn not to disobey the vision the Lord grants. Don’t say that you cannot achieve it. It is not enough if we only know that God saves people and the holy spirit made Jesus have done all for us. We must have a relationship with God as a foundation.
From the scriptures, we know that the things Paul gained was no report, no doctrine, but God let him preach the gospel and he had a same personal experience with Jesus, which let the Lord completely own him. The sixteen chapter is more striking, “Assign you to do the clerk and give witnesses. Except we can create the personal relationship with God, there is no other way. Pau sworn allegiance to a God, not a mission. Paul completely belongs to Jesuses. Besides, nothing can be seen, and no longer rely on other things to life. Paul said:” I didn’t know other things among you, but only know Jesus and he died on the cross.
