The Dragon Boat Festival, occurs on the 5th day of the fifth lunar month，it is a public holiday. The Dragon Boat Festival and the Spring Festival, the Ching Ming Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival are the four traditional Chinese folk festivals .
端午节,在每年的农历的五月初五，是国家法定节假日，与春节、清明节、中秋节并称为中国民间的四大传统节日。
Dragon Boat Festival originated in China.Integrating the worship of the southern Baiyue and “evil month”,commemorate historical figures of Qu Yuan and Cao E ,form the present Dragon Boat Festival culture.
端午节起源于中国,综合南方百越的祭祀意义，和把农历五月五日视为“恶月恶日”的说法，以及纪念屈原、曹娥等历史人物的内容，形成了如今的端午节文化 。
The must-eat food during the festival is sticky rice dumplings.We put sticky rice, salted egg yolk ,boiled peanuts and other delicious ingredients inside bamboo leaves, and wrap up with a string. Then cooked by steaming or boiling.By the way,The sticky rice dumplings of south part of China is mostly salty, while in the north is mainly sweet.
端午节一定要吃的食物是粽子。（是的，糯米饺子。）粽子里面有糯米、花生仁、咸蛋黄和其他好吃的，用线/绳包在竹叶里面。中国南方的粽子主要是咸味的，而北方的主要是甜味的。

when Dragon Boat Festival is approaching people will wear colorful ropes and throw it away while rain. On the day of festival，people go hiking, row dragon boats,hang mugwort on their front door, drink realgar wine,and children collect colorful scent bag.These are to protect themselves from illness and keep evil spirts away.
临近端午节人们会戴五彩绳，并在节日后的第一场雨来临时将其扔掉。而端午节当日的习俗还有踏青、划龙舟、在家门口悬挂艾草、喝雄黄酒、孩子们佩戴香包，都是意在平安辟邪。
