“You are my friends if you do what I command you.” John 15:14
From the above scripture, we know that Jesus called those who followed him friends and showed them signs of friendship. Jesus told them, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.” Even he gave up his life for them. Jesus also told them about the kingdom of the heaven and what he had heard from his father in heaven, giving them an opportunity to participate in his ministry. Jesus is our friend for life, listening to our pain and longing. When we feel lonely and depressed, this friend is with us.
Everyone has some friends passing our life. There are also some friends leaving a deep impression on us. Even some of our friends also gave us some valued opinions, we think they are our true friends. In my life, I seldom met a true friend doing all things for the other party without seeking anything. People in world are flawed. Jesus is God in heaven and would like to be our friend for the people following his words. What a nice blessing!
During my life, Jesus not only is my best friend, but also is my best comfort and support. He gives me the sense of security and the peace of my mind. By communicating with him, let me learn many trues I’ve never heard in the past. His rules guide my life to do right things. As the Christians, the Christ have come into our life through the Holy Spirit into our heart. So, we should thank God forever because he will never leave us. He gives us all his love and will not deceive us. Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life. More importantly, God gives us the prayer authority after becoming a Christian. As the scripture of John 14:14 of the new testament says, “If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.”
In short, in my eyes, it’s my favorite moment if the holy spirt can control and empower my daily life and witness. I must trust God for every detail of my life, because I can’t do anything without his grace.
