押韵普遍存在于各种语言中，汉语有许多自然天成的押韵，英语也不例外。
押韵并非仅存在诗歌中，一个词组，一句话都可能押韵，押韵是一种表达技巧，非诗歌专用。
英语的押韵有押头韵和押尾韵之分。所谓押头韵，就是首音押韵，所谓押尾韵，就是尾音押韵。如：
Whether you fail or fly, at least you should try. 不管是一飞冲天还是跌入谷底，至少，你尝试过！
此句中fail和fly第一个音为/f/，此为押头韵；fly和try结尾音均为/ai/，是为押尾韵。
