When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this!

The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow-
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame:
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.

A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o’er me-

In silence I grieve,

也曾秘密相约,默默心伤,你的心儿会遗忘,你的灵魂会伪装。经年几许,你我若能再相见。我如何与你致意?心无言,泪两行。
初次尝试英文诗歌翻译,借鉴穆旦诗人译本,也有一些自己的创意改编。
其实,我们在读诗也是在读故事,你会找到自己与作者心意相通的某一个点。而我因为一句诗,爱上整首诗,更爱上这位诗人。
