The Angkor complex encompasses all major architectural buildings and hydrological engineering systems from the Khmer period. All the individual aspects illustrate the intactness of the site very much reflecting the splendor of the cities that once were. The site integrity however, is put under dual pressures: endogenous: exerted by more than 100,000 inhabitants distributed over 112 historic settlements scattered over the site, who constantly try to expand their dwelling areas; exogenous: related to the proximity of the town of Siem Reap（暹粒）, the seat of the province and a tourism hub.

In 2019, the country launched the replacement of organic fertilizers in 175 counties, and the pilot prevention and control of fruit and vegetable tea in 150 counties. At present, the area of green prevention and control of diseases and insects has exceeded 53 million hectares, and the use of chemical fertilizer has achieved negative growth for three consecutive years. After years of exploration and practice, the number of pilot provinces for crop rotation and fallow has increased from 9 to 17, and the pilot area has been expanded from 400,000 hectares to 2 million hectares. The quality of cultivated land in the pilot areas has been steadily improved, the ecological environment has been improved, and the competitiveness of rice and wheat has been enhanced.
