The practice of listening

“What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops.” Matthew10:27

Sometimes, God lets us walk in the dark. The real purpose is that God wants to teach us hearing his words. Birds learn singing in the dark, so we must learn to hear His voice under the Lord’s shadow.

“He made my mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me a polished arrow, in his quiver he hid me away.” Isaiah 49:2

God says:” I tell you in the dark…” So, we must notice where God will put us. And there, we must keep silence. Now, are we facing a dark environment? Whether is there a gloomy space between God and us…anyway, whatever the situation, we must try our best to keep silence. We must shut our mouths in the dark. If we speak, that will be not proper, because that is the best moment we keep in listening silently. We don’t have to tell others, and we mustn’t seek for the reason about the dark. We only just pay attention to listening God’s voice quietly. If we tell others, we can’t hear what God says. So, we need to keep on listening in the dark. God will give us a valuable information. Then when we walk in the light, we will share our experience with others.

Every dark experience, that exists the intertwined mind with humility and happy. If there is only happy, this means that we don’t meet God. The joy is that we hear God’s voice quickly. The Lord has a quality of humility and God never stop speaking to us all the time. So long as we’d like to follow God’s will, God lets us humility and makes us meek. Then, we can hear God with our whole heart in the future.
