自从开始在Ivey上课，目不识丁的白痴感觉就成日常标配啦。
谈不上听不懂，是完全没听过，教授随便说一个小典故我都一脸懵懂：这……是神马玩意儿？！但课堂不允许我在线扫盲，只能先把关键词记下来，课后逐一google。看看，上一节课，还能送一节自修，值啊！！！
虽然我每次都很认真的补课和预习，但在课堂讨论时经常会理解错了方向，或者在好几天后才领会到教授的本意。笨鸟后飞，零基础，慢动作，稳啊！！！
每一个case，每一场讨论，每一次辩论，都在不停的刷新我已固化的思维。一次次发现自己是“井底之蛙”时，就是一个个大梦初醒的惊喜时刻。原来我曾经这么蠢这么自以为是，原来我还有机会走向宇宙，这种感觉太有奔头了！
所以，虽然过程有点虐，我竟然每次上完课都特别开心，“今天又被洗脑了“的喜悦远比一大杯black coffee还要让人振奋。回到办公室迫不及待的赶紧把隔行如隔山的盲点扫一扫，把大梦初醒的感悟结合现状写一写，新鲜的风正在扑面而来，老阿姨又变成了一个充满憧憬的新生代！！！

1. Longitude Prize
In 1714 the British government threw down the gauntlet with inducement prizes to solve the greatest scientific challenge of the century – how to pinpoint a ship’s location at sea by knowing its longitude.
At G8 2014, the Longitude Prize was launched by the Prime Minister of UK and has been developed and run by Nesta, the UK’s innovation foundation. The Longitude Prize is a £10m prize fund, that will reward a team of researchers who develop a point–of–care diagnostic test that will conserve antibiotics for future generations and revolutionise the delivery of global healthcare.
2. Network Effect
A network effect (also called network externality or demand-side economies of scale) is the effect described in economics and business that an additional user of a good or service has on the value of that product to others. When a network effect is present, the value of a product or service increases according to the number of others using it.
The network effect can create a bandwagon effect as the network becomes more valuable and more people join, resulting in a positive feedback loop.
Metcalfe's law states the effect of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n2).
Beckstrom's law purports to answer "the decades-old question of 'how valuable is a network'", and states in summary that "The value of a network equals the net value added to each user’s transactions conducted through that network, summed over all users."
Reed's law is the assertion that the utility of large networks, particularly social networks, can scale exponentially with the size of the network.
