虽然放屁有伤大雅，可是谁也不能保证自己不放屁，毕竟这是一种正常的生理活动。而且做了肠胃手术的人还一定要能放出屁来才能说明身体状况恢复得好。
现在我们来看看“放屁”、“拉肚子”、“便秘”到底用英文怎么说？
在美语里最常用的是 to expel gas 或 to fart 或 to make / pass gas。 比如医生有时问：
How often do you expel / make / pass gas？（你多长时间放一次屁？）皮卡丘想说这医生到底是有多无聊呐，
Is the gas expelled by belching？[beltʃɪŋ]（是否打嗝后就会放屁呢？）这个问题，皮卡丘也想知道
再比如：
He said the more he ate, the more he farted.（吃的愈多，放屁也愈多。）所以大家少吃点啊
He has passed more gas than usual within the last two days.（过去两天中，他放屁比平常多。）
Be careful not to fart in the public.（注意在公共场所不可放屁。）就是不能随地放屁，以前我只听过不能随地大小便，今天升级了。
至于消化不良，大便不通或拉肚子，也有不同的说法，例如：
I have an upset stomach.（消化不良） = I have heartburn. = I have indigestion.[,ɪndɪ'dʒɛstʃən]
（注意：Heartburn 是指胃不舒服，不是“心痛（heartache）[ˈhɑ:teɪk]”）
Something has upset my stomach for two weeks.（胃不舒服有两星期了。）
消化不良可能导致“拉肚子”：
He has bouts of diarrhea[ˌdaɪəˈriə] .= He is having trouble with diarrhea.（他拉了一阵肚子。）
He can see trace of blood and pus / mucus in his stool / bowel movement.（大便时可看到血丝和粘膜。）
和拉肚子相反的就是“便秘”了，想必得两种病的人会互相羡慕吧：
He has（persistent）constipation [ˌkɒnstɪˈpeɪʃn]/ irregularity.（他经常便秘。)
He has been unusually constipated.（便秘很反常。）
He is having problem with irregularity / constipation. （他便秘。）
He has no bowel[ˈbaʊəl] movement for the past few days. （过去几天他都没大便。）
像这种肠胃毛病除了要听取医生的意见，还要多从饮食上找原因，健康饮食、多吃青菜，得病的可能性就小很多啦！
