我翻译的《道德经》第二十八章（3）

原文:

知其荣，守其辱，为天下谷。

为天下谷，常德乃足，复归于朴。

朴散则为器，圣人用之，则为官长。

故大制不割。

译文:

知道自己的荣耀，却坚持谦虚低调，如幽深的峡谷；如幽深的峡谷，就能长久保持美好的德行，重新回到原始的质朴。这原始的质朴状态分散开来就成为有用的器物。圣人若运用其中之一，那么它就成为其中的首要，所以最好的治理是不能把这原始的质朴分割的。

Knowing about being honourable,but keep low-key,to be a  gorge  under heaven.

Being a deep gorge under heaven,we can  have enough good virtues  and  return  to

the simple state of the world.

When the simple state  falls apart, it will

be made  into many useful utensils.

When the saint uses one of them,he will be

a leader.

Therefore, a perfect system is a system which can't be inseparable.
