今天拆解的原文素材选自微博@人民日报，起因就不赘述啦，我们直接看原文吧：
这道歉，是为自己无知买单，也是为冒犯国人情感而寻求宽宥。身为公众人物，对历史常识如此匮乏，对民族苦难浑然不觉，太不应该。事关民族大义，不容任何试探，更不容有任何挑战。若明知故犯，就得付出沉重代价。
第一句
这道歉，是为自己无知买单，也是为冒犯国人情感而寻求宽宥。
为做错的事情“买单”，指的是要“承担责任”或“付出代价”：take the blame for/to pay for...；
“寻求宽宥”就好理解了：寻求宽恕 ask/seek forgiveness；
“是...也是...”可以直接并列，也可以用“not just to...., but to...”来连接；
主语“道歉”this apology；
2个“为...”很显然是附属成分，分别挂上去就好。
“冒犯”可以选择offend/hurt the feelings of/infuriate；
infuriate /ɪnˈfjʊərieɪt/ 可能有点生僻：[ VNto inf ] to make sb extremely angry 使极为生气；使大怒；激怒
Her silence infuriated him even more. 她的沉默使他更加愤怒了。
译文走起：
This apology is not just to take the blame for his ignorance/foolishness but to ask forgiveness for hurting the feelings of fellow countrymen/offending fellow countrymen.
The apology is to pay for his ignorance and to seek forgiveness from infuriating his countrymen.
第二句
身为公众人物，对历史常识如此匮乏，对民族苦难浑然不觉，太不应该。
先来看结构，有2种处理方式。
第一种是顺着原文来：
“身为...”明显可以处理为状语：as a public figure；
这句话没主语，但我们都知道是哪位，把他补上：Zhang Zhehan；
“对...匮乏”、“对...浑然不觉”并列；
“太不应该”可以解读为“让人难以接受”，情感饱满一点甚至可以是“是个耻辱、让人震惊”：it is unacceptable/shocking/a shame....；
译文
As a public figure, it is unacceptable/shocking/a shame that Zhang Zhehan displayed a complete unawareness of national sufferings and shocking ignorance of history.
再来看第二种结构：
我们可以把“身为公众人物”融到主干里，即：it is.... for a public figure to...
译文：
It is unacceptable for a public figure to be so ignorant of the past and so insensitive to the painful sufferings his fellow countrymen have had.
It is a shame for a public figure to forget the history and ignore the sufferings of the country.
第三句
事关民族大义，不容任何试探，更不容有任何挑战。
“不容...”这个句式简直太熟悉了，外交部发言人的常用话术，比如：
西藏事务纯属中国内政，不容任何外部势力干涉。
Tibetan affairs are purely China's internal affairs that allow no foreign interference.
这是中国和东盟国家共同努力的结果，不容唱衰和抹杀
It is attributable to the joint efforts made by China and ASEAN countries that allows no downplay and denial.
注意这句话中的动词：试探、挑战，搭配的宾语就可以是“民族大义的红线”
“试探”动词可以用test, 名词可以用provocation:
[ UC] the act of doing or saying sth deliberately in order to make sb angry or upset; something that is done or said to cause this 挑衅；刺激；激怒
有点“试探底线”的意思吧。
译文走起：
The red lines of the Chinese nation will not be tested or challenged.
或者借用外交部的句式：
The red lines of the Chinese nation allows no provocation or challenge.
还有一种思路，把主语确定为“人”：no one；
没有人可以...: no one is in any position to...
译文：
No one is in any position to either test or challenge the red lines of the Chinese nation.
第四句
若明知故犯，就得付出沉重代价。
这句话虽短，但我们有3种处理方式
第一种还是顺着来，条件状语从句+主干，增补逻辑主语One;
“明知故犯”就是指的上一句嘛，来一个指代，或者换个表达“挑战民族尊严”：
One shall pay a heavy price if he knowingly makes such attempts/does so/challenges national dignity.
第二种把主语确定为“明知故犯的人”：
Whoever knowingly make such attempts will end up paying a heavy price.
第三种强调下“代价的沉重”，也就是说把主语定位price, “明知故犯的price将会很严重：
The price for doing so knowingly will be heavy for all.
