这个月我们又见面了，老规矩，废话不多说，开始总结~
9.1（木）
East or west,home is the best.
家是最温馨的港湾。
参考：金窝银窝，不如自己的草窝。
语音练习：home is 可以连读
小结：自己的翻译没有突出前面的 east or west，要注意前后兼顾。
Faith can move mountains.
信仰可以移山。
世上无难事，只怕有心人。
参考：精诚所至，金石为开。
9.2（金）
First impressions are half the battle.
先入之见很重要。
Good wine needs no bush.
劲草不怕疾风吹。
参考：酒香不怕巷子深。
注意：bush是指装酒的容器。要注意wine与alcohol的区别。
小结：bush要结合西方文化背景理解翻译会更好。
9.5（月）
Haste makes waste.
揠苗助长。
欲速则不达。
参考：欲速则不达。
吃一堑，长一智。（中译英）

小结：若是谚语有既定的翻译方法，按照既定的方法，别望文生义。
9.6（火）
He that promises too much means nothing.
夫轻诺必寡信。
参考：轻诺者必寡信。
轻诺者必违诺。（叶叶叶的叶）
But recently,fear has settled in.The state's oldest coal-fored power plant,tuched among the canyons near town,is set to close, a result of new,stricter federal pollution regulations.
参考：但是最近，小镇里的人们心里充满了恐惧。联邦政府新颁布的一套更为严格的污染管理条例，这使得小镇附近峡谷中的一家美国最古老的燃煤发电厂濒临倒闭。
小结：settled in 介入、进入、开始
State 国家 state 洲
coal-fored 燃煤的
canyons 峡谷
中文中多为主动语态（濒临倒闭），英语中多为被动语态（被关闭）。
注意复数也要翻译出来，如“regulation” 一系列法规。
注意修饰的定语成份。
9.7（水）
He would climb the ladder must begin at the bottom.
若想成为人上人，必须吃得苦中苦。
冰冻三尺费一日之寒。
参考：千里之行，始于足下。
遇上九重天，应从足下行。（叶叶叶的叶）
But Rocky Mountain Power,the utility that operates the plant,has determined that it would be too expensive to retrofit the aging plant to meet new federal standards on mercury emission. The plant is scheduled to be shut by April 2015.
参考：公共事业公司--落基山电力是卡本电厂的经营者，公司已经决定，要达到联邦政府最新规定的水银排放标准，就必须改造老化的电厂，而改造费实在太贵，并不可行。电厂计划在2015年4月倒闭。
小结：注意逻辑。
9.8（木）
