我翻译的《道德经》第三十三章（1）
原文:
知人者智也，自知者明也。胜人者有力也，自胜者强也。
译文:
了解他人是一种智慧，了解自己是聪明。
能胜过别人是有实力，能战胜自己是一种强大。
我的翻译:
Understanding others is a kind of wisdom
while understanding myself is a kind of
cleverness.
Overcoming others is strong while
overcoming myself is powerful.
