绘本简介：
故事讲述一条毛毛虫吃啊吃啊，然后变成蛹，最后蜕变成美丽的蝴蝶，生命的可贵多么令人喜悦，卡尔爷爷在丰富的童趣中表达对生命的尊崇，他用简单的故事让孩子从这里起步，成为主动的阅读者，让孩子们用感官和心感受整个自然。

《好饿好饿的毛毛虫》
In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.
月光下，一枚小小的卵躺在一片树叶上
One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and - Pop! - Out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
一个星期天的早上，暖暖的太阳升起来，啵！从卵壳里钻出一条瘦小饥饿的毛毛虫
He started to look for some food.
他开始寻找食物
On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry.
星期一，他啃穿了一个苹果，可他还是饿
On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.
星期二，他啃穿了两个梨，可他还是饿
On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.
星期三，他啃穿了三个李子，可他还是饿
On Thursday he ate through Four strawberries, but he was still hungry.
星期四，他啃穿了四颗草莓，可他还是饿地受不了
On Friday he ate through Five oranges, but he was still hungry.
星期五，他啃穿了五个橙子，可他还是饿呀
On Saturday he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice-cream cone, one pickle, one slice of Swiss chess, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake, and one slice of watermelon.
星期六，他啃穿了一块巧克力蛋糕、一个冰淇淋甜筒、一条腌黄瓜、一片瑞士起司、一节萨拉米香肠、一根棒棒糖、一块樱桃派、一条香肠、一个杯形蛋糕和一块西瓜
That night he had a stomachache!
那天晚上，他肚痛了！
The next day was Sunday again.
第二天又是星期天
The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.
那只毛毛虫啃穿了一片可口的绿树叶，之后他感觉好多了
Now he wasn't hungry anymore - and he wasn't a little caterpillar any more.
现在他一点儿也不饿了，而且他也不再是一条小小的毛毛虫了
He was a big, fat caterpillar.
而是一条肥嘟嘟的大毛虫了
He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself.
他绕着自己的身子造了一个叫做茧的小房子
He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and ...
